OAL Holdings is a company registered under company number 10061112 in England and Wales (hereinafter referred to as "we", "our" or "us"). We respect your right to privacy and your right to control the dissemination and other processing of your personal information.

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) applies to all our websites including www.onlineautomotive.co.uk (“Websites”) and any mobile applications or other online and/or mobile applications operated by us or that are related to us and/or our Websites (“Apps”). Collectively, the Websites and Apps are, in this Notice, referred to as the “Service”.   2. What information do we collect about you?

      When you register for an Account, place an order with us, call us or submit an enquiry, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.

      1. includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Websites, subscribing to our service, purchasing goods via our Websites or via our marketplace listings, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Websites.
      2. please note that we may record and monitor telephone conversations that we have with you. The sole purpose of any recording is for training and quality control purposes.   3. How we use your date - Purposes and legal basis for processing

    Personal details given to, or collected by OAL Holdings Ltd, will be used to, produce invoices, take payment, deliver orders and send our service/product updates and marketing material. This data will be processed on the lawful basis of contract and legitimate business.

    Both inbound and outbound telephone calls to our office are recorded. These recordings will be processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interest. The legitimate interest being pursued is quality control and employee training.

    CCTV footage is also captured on our premises. These recordings will be processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interest. The legitimate interest being pursued is keeping the property, employees and visitors safe and secure.

    If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

      9. OAL Holdings Ltd follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

    In the course of business, we may pass your details on to third parties. We have written contracts in place with these named parties to ensure they are looking after your data to GDPR standards.

    Your name and contact details will be passed to a feedback provider in order that they can contact you to gain independent feedback on our services.

    Your name, delivery address, email address and contact number will be passed on to our suppliers and couriers in order to fulfil your order and also keep you updated on the tracking information via SMS and via email.

    If you choose to use our payment plan option, we will send your name, address, email address, telephone number and vehicle registration number to the finance company facilitating the service.

    We use an email marketing agency for our marketing emails and reminder emails


  5. How do we protect your data?

    1. We are committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure and employ a number of security measures. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. For registered users, where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
    2. We use reasonable, organisational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information under our control. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

  6. How long do we keep your data?

    Unless otherwise advised, we will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

    1. Our procedures to manage data retention is to retain customer data for 7 years or longer to support some of our parts warranty.
    2. The email marketing unsubscribe function will remove your details from marketing lists and confirmation of your removal will be sent to your email address.
    3. Data back-ups can take up to 60 days to remove specific data from the system.
    4. CCTV footage will be kept up to a period of 12 months
    5. Recording of phone calls will be kept for 3 months

    As a Data Subject you have a number of rights in regard to your personal data and these include the right to request from OAL Holdings Ltd access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning your data or to object to processing as well as the right of data portability.     You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

    We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.     We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
